Salt Lake Police investigate armed robbery at Shell station

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 8, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are looking for the man who robbed a Shell gas station, at 176 S. 1300 East, late Sunday night.

Salt Lake City Police Lt. Scott Smalley said the robbery was reported at 10:54 p.m.

The suspect is described as an adult white male, who was wearing a black hat, black coat, white scarf over his face, sunglasses, white gloves, Levi’s, and white tennis shoes.

Smalley said the man was carrying a backpack, in which he had a gun that he showed to the store’s clerk.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot.
