SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -May 11, 2015 1:43 p.m. (Gephardt Daily) – Salt Lake City Police confirmed that Dylan Kirchmann, who had been missing from his elementary in Salt Lake for over two hours, has been found.

According to Det. Greg Wilking from Salt Lake City Police Department, the boy was located downtown. “The boy’s father seemed to have an idea of where the boy might go and based on his assumption, it appears he was right,” said Wilking. “We are just happy he is safe and home now, but hoping this turns out to be a learning lesson for the boy not possibly realizing all the resources that had started to go into finding him.”

It is unclear at this time how the boy managed to get downtown.

Ten year old Kirchmann, who attends school at Riley Elementary, 1410 S. 800 West, was last seen around 11 a.m. “It appears the boy has done something similar to this in the past,” said Wilking.
