Salt Lake police searching for suspect after carjacking

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 8, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials are searching for a man thought to be involved in a carjacking in Salt Lake City Tuesday afternoon.

Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release the incident occurred in the area of 1651 S. Stewart St., which is just north of Glendale Park, at approximately 1:40 p.m.

“The victim was walking to her vehicle when a male approached her, pushed her down and took the vehicle,” the news release said. The vehicle was recovered a short time later.

The suspect is described as black, in his 20s or 30s. He was last seen wearing a gray and blue hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
