Salt Lake police seek help finding suspect in Maverik robbery

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 16, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Salt Lake City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of robbing a Maverik store at 710 E. 2700 South.

According to a news release from SLCPD, the robbery took place at about 7:20 a.m. Jan. 7, when the suspect entered the Maverik and demanded money from the register. He reportedly motioned as though he had a gun in his pocket.

He then left the store and fled in an unknown direction.

He is described as an Asian or Hispanic adult male, probably in his 20s, and he had a thin mustache. He was wearing a green coat with fur around the hood, tan pants and black shoes.

Anyone who knows the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call SLCPD at (801) 799-3000.
