Salt Lake Police seek suspect who threatened victim with shears after robbery

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 29, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Sprint store Tuesday evening, then threatened an employee with shears before making off with an iPhone.

The incident took place at the Sprint store atĀ 1028 E. 2100 South just before 6:45, the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

A man entered a store and used cutting shears to remove merchandise, the news release said. The suspect then ran from the store with the iPhone, and an employee gave chase. The suspect turned around, threatened the victim with the shears, then continued to run.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, mid-to-late 30s, 5 feet 5 inches tall, and thin with dirty blond hair. He was unshaven and wearing a black faux-leather jacket with a hood that has a teal-and-black-colored interior, blue jeans with rips in the knees and blackĀ and white tennis shoes.
