SANDY, Utah, Oct. 10, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A Sandy heating and air conditioning company is looking to keep a police or firefighter’s family warm this winter.
Connect Building Services is offering a brand new, fully installed furnace to a first responder who might have fallen on hard times.
“We want to give back to the community,” says Connect Building Services owner, Leeann Chapman. “These first responders are on the front lines of risk taking. Sometimes they are injured, and their families fall on hard times. We want to help where we can.”
Chapman says she is asking for the public’s help in finding and selecting a police officer, firefighter, ambulance driver, or any other first responder who might need help. She has set up a space on Facebook and at her company website for anybody to nominate a first responder for the free furnace.
Chapman says to write a short reason why they believe a certain person should get the furnace.
Leeann says this is open to anyone who lives anywhere on the Wasatch Front. She says the deadline is November 4 for nominations.
