Sandy police searching for burglary suspect

SANDY, Utah, Feb. 25, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Sandy City Police officials are searching for a man who allegedly burglarized the laundry room at an apartment building multiple times.

The burglaries occurred in the laundry room at the Windmill Cove Apartments at 9551 S. Brandy Spring Lane (255 West), Sandy City Police said in a news release on Facebook.

“This is his third time doing so and he has been successful each time,” the news release said. “He cuts holes in the sides of the washer and dryer machines, stealing the coins inside. He has caused a lot of damage in doing so.”

The burglaries occur between the hours of 3 and 4 a.m., the news release said.

The man is described as Caucasian, and in the surveillance video, he is wearing tan coveralls and a red hoodie. He was seen riding a red and black mountain bike, and had a red and black bag, officials said.
