SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah, Feb. 14, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police have identified a 36-year-old American Fork man who was killed Monday in a rollover crash in Saratoga Springs.

The deceased has been identified as Kevin Austill, the driver of the pickup truck that rolled over, according to Saratoga Springs police.

His wife, Lisa Austill, 30, who was a passenger in the truck, was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition, but has since been released, police said.

Saratoga Springs Police Chief Andrew Burton told Gephardt Daily the accident happened at 4639 S. Redwood Road (mile marker 25) at about 3:30 p.m. when, for an unknown reason, the pickup truck, heading north on Redwood Road, went out of control and struck a power pole and transformer.

Kevin Austill died at the scene, Burton said.

Redwood Road was shut down in both directions while the scene was investigated and cleared. The police department’s Major Accident Team is conducting the investigation.

Rocky Mountain Power crews were called to the scene to remove downed lines.

Gephardt Daily will update this story as more information becomes available.
