LOGAN, Utah, Dec. 14, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A tip warning of a student shooter on Friday at Logan High School was unfounded, police determined, and classes were held.

The Logan City School District posted a letter on Facebook regarding the incident.

“Late Thursday evening, Logan High Administrators and Logan City Police received a tip through the SafeUT app that a student had made a threat to perpetrate a shooting at Logan High,” the statement says.

“The administration and police have investigated the tip and determined the threat was not made, and students are in no danger.

“The Logan City School District takes threats against student safety very seriously, and we appreciate the rapid response by our administrators and local law enforcement.”
