West Jordan police seek help finding man accused of sexually assaulting 5-year-old boy at library

WEST JORDAN, Utah, Jan. 27, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect captured in surveillance photos who allegedly sexually assaulted a 5-year-old boy in West Jordan Library.

West Jordan Police Department said in a news release that at approximately 1 p.m. Thursday, the suspect was captured by cameras at the library located at 8030 S. 1825 West.

It was reported that a 5-year-old boy entered a restroom and was sexually abused by the suspect. West Jordan Police Detective J.C. Holt told Gephardt Daily he would describe the abuse as “unlawful physical, sexual acts.”

The suspect is described as a man wearing a camouflage jacket, shirt and hat, blue jeans and dark shoes. It is believed the suspect frequents the library and surrounding area.
