WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 22, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials have identified the woman killed Tuesday in a rollover crash in Weber County.

The victim is 32-year-old Amber Lawrence, from the West Weber area.

Weber County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Jensen said dispatchers received a call at 3:40 p.m. reporting a hit-and-run accident in which one vehicle rear-ended another at 1900 West and 12th Street.

The fatal rollover happened just a few minutes later farther west, just off 12th Street, Jensen said, and investigators believe the incidents are related.

Jensen said the victim was a passenger in the car. She and the 33-year-old male driver were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated.

The driver was transported by helicopter to a local hospital in critical condition. By Wednesday, he was stable.

Lawrence was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Jensen said Tuesday that investigators were looking at alcohol as a possible factor in the accident.
