Derrick N. Christenson, 26, was treated at an area hospital for a bullet wound in the lower leg, then was arrested by SCSO and transported to the Summit County Jail, a statement from the sheriff’s office says.

Christenson was booked on:

  • Child abuse, a second-degree felony
  • Aggravated assault, a third-degree felony
  • Two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, a third-degree felony
  • Simple assault — domestic violence, a class B misdemeanor
  • Two counts of criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor
  • Intoxication, a class C misdemeanor

Christenson’s father has not yet been charged. The case will be sent to the Summit County Attorney’s Office for additional review, the SCSO statement says.
