EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah, Dec. 24, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a 15-year-old boy who has been missing since early Thursday morning.

According to a news release from UCSO, deputies were dispatched at about 6 p.m. Dec. 22, to a report of a missing teen.

The teen, Alexander Hashida, left his home near Eagle Mountain Boulevard and Lake Mountain Road in Eagle Mountain a little before 7 a.m. to go to school, the release states. Since Thursday evening, deputies, family and friends have been searching for him.

Alexander left a note in which he said he was “going to simply walk where the land took him.”

Efforts to track the teen’s location using his cellphone showed he may be in the Eagle Mountain or Saratoga Springs area. He apparently didn’t take any food, money, or credit cards with him.

Alexander is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair. His family did not know what he was wearing, but they believe he had nothing else with him except possibly a pocket knife.

Anyone who has information that may help find Alexander is asked to call the Utah County Sheriff’s Office through dispatch at 801-794-3970.
