Police Investigating After Man Found Driving Himself To Hospital With Bullet Wounds

MILLCREEK, Utah, June 21, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating a shooting after a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.

Spokesman for Unified Police Department Lt. Lex Bell said officers pulled over a minivan in Millcreek after noticing the driver was weaving all over the road. The minivan, which was stopped in the area of 750 E. 3900 South, also reportedly had two bullet holes in the driver side door.

Bell said it appeared the driver had been shot, and was driving himself to the hospital.

Police believe the shooting happened earlier in West Valley City, in the area of 1300 West and 3900 South.

The driver was taken to hospital. His condition was not made available.

West Valley police will be investigating the incident, since the shooting is thought to have occurred in their jurisdiction.
