LOGAN, Utah, June 13, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Authorities have issued a statewide Silver Alert for an 81-year-old man with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease who was last seen Thursday evening in Logan.
Gayland Sorenson was last spotted at approximately 6:15 p.m. on June 12 at the Williamsburg Retirement Home, located at 132 W. 300 North in Logan, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.
Sorenson is described as white, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. He has brown hair, green eyes, and a thin build.
At the time of his disappearance, Sorenson was wearing a dark plaid button-up shirt, a neon orange hat, glasses, sweatpants, and dark gray Skechers shoes.
Officials say his destination is unknown and have expressed concern due to his cognitive condition.
The Logan Police Department is leading the investigation. Anyone with information on Sorenson’s whereabouts is urged to call police dispatch at 435-753-7555 or call 911.
