Silver King Fire now 89% contained, closures remain in place

BEAVER COUNTY, Utah, July 30, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Silver King Fire has burned 18,222 acres, but is now 89% contained, according to incident information released Tuesday on inciweb.wildfire.gov.

But that does not mean visitors are welcome back.

“The area closure for the Silver King Fire in Fishlake National Forest remains in effect until it is rescinded,” a statement shared on Utah Fire Info says.

“Please refer to the attached map and closure order or contact the Beaver Ranger District Office for more information.”
