Update: Police issue description of suspects after aggravated robbery in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 24, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police have issued a description of three suspects after an aggravated robbery in Salt Lake City Monday evening.

The incident happened at Family Dollar at 855 S. State St. just before 9:10 p.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“Three people entered the store and waited for other patrons to leave,” the news release said. “One of the suspects approached the counter and placed a bag on the counter. The suspect then displayed a handgun and demanded money.”

The clerk went to the rear of the store and stated she needed the manager to get the money. The suspects fled the scene a short time later, and no money was taken.

The first suspect is described as a black or Polynesian female in her 20s with a white top and black spandex shorts. The second suspect is described as a  black female in her 20s, with a brown leather jacket and faded jeans with cuts. The third suspect is described as a man or woman with dark corn rows down the center of their hair and loose hair on the sides, a mustache and a purple backpack.

The suspect’s should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
