Police search for suspect after robbery at Salt Lake City bank

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 19, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect after a Chase Bank branch in Salt Lake City was robbed Wednesday morning.

The incident took place at the bank at 1285 S. 2100 East just before 10:15 a.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release Thursday.

“A suspect entered into the bank and ordered everyone onto the ground,” the news release said. “The suspect intimated he had a gun and demanded cash. Once he was given the cash he fled out the east doors of the bank.”

The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, wearing a blue and gray hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, dark pants, black shoes, a black baseball cap, black sunglasses, a teal medical mask and latex gloves.
