Police search for suspect after Salt Lake City bank robbery

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 2, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who claimed he had a gun and robbed a bank Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at Washington Federal bank at 2262 S. Highland Dr., just after 9:20 a.m., according to a news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

A man handed an employee a note stating he wanted cash and that he had a gun, however no weapon was seen, the news release said. The suspect was given money and he left the bank on foot.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 35 years old, 5-feet-10-inches tall, average build wearing a tan jacket and black ski pants.
