SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 3, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police have arrested a man wanted for allegedly hitting two officers with a stolen car last week in Springville.

Lt. David Caron, of the Springville Police Department, said his department was notified that Corbin Chandler Decker, 19, had been arrested at 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of 800 W. North Temple after officers received a tip alerting them to Decker’s location.

Decker was wanted for a March 26 incident in which police say he hit two Springville officers who were approaching the stolen vehicle he was in. The officers were responding to a suspicious person call.

Springfield Sgt. Warren Foster suffered a sprained ankle and injured wrist. Officer Kyle Curtis suffered a broken nose and facial lacerations.

Decker was delivered by Adult Parole and Probation officials to Utah County officers on Sunday morning. Decker reportedly said he had been staying in the Salt Lake City and Ogden areas for the past week.

Both Springville officers are still recovering, but have returned to full duty.
