SLC Police searching for man who allegedly showed box cutter, robbed Papa John’s

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 27, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Salt Lake City are searching for a man who allegedly entered Papa John’s Pizza with a box cutter and stole cash Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred at the pizza chain restaurant, at 1230 W. 600 North, just after 9:15 p.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“The man approached the cashier and displayed a box cutter while demanding money,” the news release said. “The cashier complied and gave the male an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.”

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man in his mid-20s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black long sleeve sweater with blue jeans and sneakers. He had a black stocking over his head and face.
