SLC police searching for suspect after lingerie store robbery

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 27, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake police are searching for a suspect after a lingerie store was robbed Monday evening.

The incident occurred at the Blue Boutique at 1154 S. 300 West just after 7:10 p.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“A man entered the Blue Boutique and followed a clerk to the back of the store with a weapon pressed against her side,” the news release said. “The clerk was told to go to the register and give him the money. He had the second clerk lay on the ground.”

The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described Hispanic, 5 foot 4 inches tall, with brown hair and a thick black mustache. He wore a mesh stocking cap, a white and gray T-shirt, black or gray gloves and blue jeans.
