SLC police searching for suspect who ‘drove over’ victim after altercation

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 17, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake police are searching for a suspect who allegedly “drove over” a victim after a verbal altercation outside Hires Big H on Friday morning.

The aggravated assault occurred at the hamburger restaurant, at 425 S. 700 East, just before 11:40 a.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“The victim, who works for Hires Big H, walked out to tell the suspect that he could not park in the Hires parking lot all the time,” the news release said. “The suspect has recently been parking in the Hires parking lot to drop off his girlfriend, who works at a nearby business.”

The suspect and victim got into a verbal argument.

“The victim then walked in front of the suspect’s vehicle, and the suspect then drove over the victim, causing substantial injuries,” the news release goes on. “The suspect fled in the vehicle.”

The vehicle is a black Dodge Ram 1500 with a shell and Utah plate W076YH. The suspect has been identified as Patrick Walker, 27. The suspect and suspect vehicle have not been located as of Monday afternoon.
