SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – October 31, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Families flocked to the free annual Salt Lake City Halloween party at the Public Safety Building Friday.

Activities included booths for families to visit with and meet police officers, firefighters, Mayor Ralph Becker and a variety of other city departments and partners.

In attendance were Salt Lake City Police Department K9s, motors, bomb squad, SWAT, volunteer corps and patrol, Salt Lake City Fire Department ladder trucks with pumpkin toss and obstacle course, Salt Lake Police Association, Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, The Leonardo, Youth City, Nightmare on 13th, the Natural History Museum, the Department of Public Utilities and Costco.

SLCPD reminds trick-or-treaters to carry a flashlight and travel in a group. Adults should accompany young children at all times and kids should never enter a stranger’s car or home. Parents should also check treats before allowing children to eat anything. For more Halloween safety tips, download Halloween safety tips.
