SLCPD responds to report of suspicious package

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 6, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police responded to a report of a suspicious package near the Vivint Smart Home Arena Wednesday morning.

The package was found in the area of 100 S. 300 West, the Salt Lake City Police Department tweeted at 9:40 a.m., adding that 300 West was shut down while police investigated the incident.

SLCPD subsequently tweeted: “#suspicious #package at 100 South 300 West declared #safe. All roads open to regular traffic.” It turned out the package contained a record player, officials said.
