SLCPD searching for pair suspected of shoplifting

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 26, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake police are searching for a man and woman suspected of shoplifting.

“Your assistance is needed to identify two individuals below involved in a #shoplift,” the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a Facebook post. “They #concealed #merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying. The male fought with security when confronted.”

The man and the woman are Caucasian; in surveillance photos, he is wearing a black baseball cap worn backwards, a black hoodie, beige pants and gray shoes. The woman has brunette hair in a bun, and is wearing a sweatshirt with a Utah logo, blue jeans, brown boots and is carrying a brown bag.

The pair left in a older black Ford pickup truck with a yellow temporary registration tag, officials said.
