SLCPD seeks help identifying suspect after robbery at downtown bank

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 1, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The Salt Lake City Police Department is looking for a suspect following a robbery Wednesday at a downtown Zions Bank.

A man entered the Zions Bank at 701 E. 400 South at approximately 1:40 p.m. and aggressively demanded money, the SLCPD said in a news release. The suspect pounded his fists on the counter as he made his demands.  He was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled out the east doors.

He then fled the area eastbound on 400 South on a silver-colored mountain bike

The suspect is described as Caucasian, between 50 and 60, approximately 6-feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. The suspect was wearing a camouflaged Sportsman’s Warehouse cap, a white University of Utah shirt and cut-off denim shorts. He was also wearing reading glasses and black shoes with orange highlights.
