Update: Man accused of Salt Lake City sexual assaults arrested

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 15, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A man accused of committing two sexual assaults in Salt Lake City has been arrested after a number of tips from the public.

According to Detective Greg Wilking from the Salt Lake City Police Department, Brian Sondrup, 31, was arrested Wednesday night and booked into jail on three felony counts of forcible sexual assault.

Wilking said that after the department circulated photos and details about the suspect Wednesday, alert citizens came forward with tips.

He said the suspect entered a business in the Brickyard area of Salt Lake City on Sept. 4 and assaulted two female employees. He then entered another business in the area and committed another assault.
