SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 30, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City’s Tavernacle Social Club is closing its doors Saturday after 19 years.

The club, at 201 E. 300 South, opened in 2002 and is known for its dueling piano shows.

The final event at the club will be a ticketed party on Saturday night from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.; tickets are available here.

“We will have our final dueling piano show with the Tavernacle band,” the post said. “We’re also planning on auctioning off some of the memorabilia and decorations at the end of the show. You could be the proud owner of our Gong, or the famous framed picture(s) of Tony Danza. Come share in this historic night as this landmark bar says goodnight. We thank you all for the memories of a lifetime!”

The post added: “We are overwhelmed by the love coming in from our Tavernacle friends. We have been Utah’s best place to party for over 19 years but at some point every party must come to an end.”
