Utah, Jan. 19, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Transportation is warning drivers Thursday to slow down on roadways, particularly Interstate 15 because of slick conditions.

“It looks like light snow, but it is slick and stopping is difficult,” UDOT tweeted Thursday morning. “Increase following distances.”

The National Weather Service is predicting snow will continue through Thursday into Friday morning.

There have been numerous crashes, including one involving a Jordan School District bus that was hit by a car near Bangerter Highway and 2700 West. There were reportedly no injuries in that accident. It is not known if there were children on the bus at the time.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
