Small Child Flown To Hospital After Near Drowning In South Jordan

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah, June 4, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A child was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital after being pulled out of a swimming pool Saturday night.

South Jordan Fire Captain Ben Kluger said crews were called to a home on Palmer Park Lane at 6:46 p.m. on a report of a child drowning.

“When we arrived they had pulled the 3- to 4-year-old male from the pool,” Kluger said. “He was not conscious, but he was breathing.”

Kluger said a medical helicopter which flew the child to the hospital, where he was upgraded to stable condition.

It is not clear how the child got in the pool. The incident is under investigation.
