Storm Damage Leaves Solitude Resort Without Power

BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah, Feb. 19, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A power outage in Big Cottonwood Canyon has left Solitude Ski Resort without power Friday.

Brighton was running on half power until noon, when power was restored.

Rocky Mountain Power said on its website that severe weather-related damage was the cause of the outage.

RMP reported there were outages in Salt Lake City, Big Cottonwood and Brighton, and approximately 497 customers are affected.

Crews are on standby due to safety concerns, and the estimated time of restoration is not known at this time.
