SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Feb. 20, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A deadly shooting in South Salt Lake has claimed the life of a third victim, while one other man remains in critical condition.

The first victim, identified only as a 17-year-old male, died at the scene of the shooting at 325 E. Park Creek Lane (3060 South) Thursday night.

The second victim, identified by police as a 19-year-old male, died in a local hospital Friday night, and his 20-year-old brother died Saturday.

One other victim ─a 19-year-old male ─ remains in critical condition.

South Salt Lake Police were first called to the shooting scene around 8 p.m. Thursday. When officers arrived, they found two brothers and the juvenile inside a gray Ford Explorer stopped in the middle of the street.

The 17-year-old juvenile was found dead in the back seat of the Explorer, while the two critically wounded brothers were found in the driver and passenger seats.

A fourth victim showed up on his own at the University of Utah Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left leg. Exactly how he got there and his role in the shooting, if any, has yet to be determined.

According to investigators, two handguns were found at the scene. One was inside the vehicle while the other was discovered a short distance away.

“Motive has not been determined,” said South Salt Lake City Police public information officer Gary Keller. “The case is still under investigation.”

Keller asked anyone who has information about the shootings to call the South Salt Lake Police Department at 801-799-3100.
