SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, May 5, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A crash Friday night at 3900 S. State St. caused one of two vehicles to make a sudden, unexpected stop at Astro Burgers.

South Salt Lake Police Sgt. Ryan Cram said the accident is still under investigation, but it appears that the two cars collided when one was turning left.

The crash caused one vehicle to leave the roadway and hit the Astro Burgers building at 3877 S. State St. A worker in the restaurant told Gephardt Daily that the impact pushed in a booth inside the dining area.

Sgt. Cram said there were three people, in their late 20s or early 30s, in the car that hit the building.

The driver of the other car, a man approximately 70 years old, was taken to a hospital, Cram said, possibly due to an ongoing health problem that may have been aggravated by the stress of the accident.

Cram said there were no life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
