Pedestrian in critical condition after motorcycle hit-and-run in South Salt Lake

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Aug. 30, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — South Salt Lake police are searching for a motorcyclist who hit a man at the intersection of 3300 South and 900 West late Tuesday night, then left the scene.

The victim was crossing the road at the intersection just before midnight, according to South Salt Lake Police officials. Investigators believe the motorcycle, a black bullet bike, was heading west on 3300 South when the collision occurred.

The motorcyclist left the scene, and a passerby called police.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital in serious to critical condition, according to officials.

Police do not have a detailed description of the motorcyclist, but said his black bullet bike did sustain some damage.
