South Salt Lake police investigate armed robbery at Subway

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, March 20, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are looking for the man who robbed a Subway sandwich shop at gunpoint Monday night.

South Salt Lake Police Sgt. Ryan Cram told Gephardt Daily a man came into the store, at 3307 S. State St., brandishing a firearm and demanding money.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the man ran out of the store and around the corner. It isn’t known if he had a vehicle waiting for him.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Cram said the suspect is described as possibly Hispanic, with a thin build. He had a scarf over his face and was wearing a red hoodie under a black coat that also had a hood.

The incident is still under investigation, and anyone who was in the area between 9:30 and 10 p.m., and who may have seen anything that could help police identify the suspect, is asked to call SSLPD at 801-840-4026.
