LEHI, Utah, April 24, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Transportation has announced that the southbound Interstate 15 off ramp to Lehi Main Street will close Wednesday and Thursday nights while work continues on the Technology Corridor.
The closure will allow crews to carry out barrier work on the ramp, said a tweet from the UDOT I-15 Technology Corridor page.
“Use 2100 North or Pioneer Crossing as detours,” the tweet said.
In addition, 300 West at I-15 and a portion of the east frontage road closed Monday for utility work and road reconstruction. This closure is planned to be in place for up to 75 days.
“Use signed detour routes to get around the area,” said a tweet. “Pedestrians can safely use 100 East as an alternate to cross under I-15 while 300 West is closed into the summer.”
The I-15 Technology Corridor project is widening I-15 from four to six lanes in each direction and rebuilding the freeway with new concrete pavement between Lehi Main Street and SR-92.
The Technology Corridor project is also redesigning the interchanges at 2100 North and SR-92, adding a new frontage road system, and constructing a new bridge over I-15 at Triumph Boulevard, all with the goal of improving traffic flow in this fast-growing area of Utah County. Construction is scheduled for completion in late 2020.
