DRAPER, Utah – Dec. 2, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A car traveling too fast for the conditions on the freeway collided with a bus full of junior high students Wednesday morning.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Steve Manful, the bus was traveling north in the HOV lane near 11600 South on I-15 at 8:50 a.m.
“A car apparently traveling too fast came up along the right side of the bus and swerved into the HOV lane causing a collision with the bus,” Sgt. Manful said. “The car then collided with another car who was behind him on the freeway.”
Sgt. Manful said a few students complained of minor injuries as well as the driver of the car who caused the accident, however no other injuries were reported.
According to Sgt. Manful the driver of the car who caused the accident will most likely be cited.
