MESQUITE, Nev., May 2, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A St. George man was taken into custody in Mesquite, Nevada, after police there responded to a call from a local casino.
Mojave Jon Brown, 23, was arrested on felony counts of sexual assault and kidnapping.
Police were called at about 2 a.m. on April 28.
“Officers promptly responded and located the suspect as he was running from the scene,” said a news release from the Mesquite Police Department.
“Officers pursued the suspect on foot, and were able to contain and locate him hiding in a desert area.”
Besides the felonies, Brown was charged with one misdemeanor, obstructing a public officer. Brown was later transported to the Clark County Detention Center, in Las Vegas.
