WASHINGTON CITY, Utah, April 4, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Washington City have identified a man who died after driving his ATV off an embankment Saturday afternoon.
Ed Kantor, spokesperson for Washington City Police, said Edgar David Sandoval, 23, of St. George, died after he accidentally drove off an embankment just before 3 p.m. in the Desert Reserve area, just north of Green Springs.
“The man was riding with another individual at the time of the accident who called 911,” Kantor said. “Washington City Police, Fire and EMS all responded as well and a request for Life Flight was initiated, but he sustained significant trauma and died at the scene.”
Sandoval was not wearing a helmet.
