ST. GEORGE, Utah, March 4, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A St. George man is behind bars after pulling a knife on a Wal-Mart customer Tuesday night in the store’s parking lot.

According to St. George Police Officer Lona Trombley, dispatchers received a call just before 10 p.m. reporting a man wielding a knife at the Wal-Mart, at 2610 Pioneer Road, in St. George.

When officers arrived, they located suspect Richard Quinn Cassels, 20, of St. George, in the parking lot.

Trombley said the victim told police Cassels walked up to him just as he pulled up to the Wal-Mart and opened his truck door.

“He pulled out a knife and told the victim he, as well as others, needed to watch out or they would be harmed, and then walked away,” Trombley said. “Officers who located Cassels did find two knives in his possession.”

Trombley said Cassels told arresting officers that the day before, a driver in a blue truck had followed him, and he believed the driver in the Wal-Mart parking lot was the same individual, so Cassels approached him and asked him not to follow him.

Cassels was arrested and taken to Washington County Jail on one third-degree felony count of aggravated assault. His bail has been set at $5,000.
