ST. GEORGE, Utah, June 5, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A recent sting operation in St. George has resulted in eight arrests.
Probable causes filed in the cases say that on May 30 of this year, investigators posted an online ad, posing as a prostitute offering sexual services in the St. George area. Officers then responded to texts from would-be customers, arranging meetings at a St. George motel.
In most cases, arrests were made immediately after the potential client and the undercover police woman agreed on an act and a fee. In one case, it was made after the suspect requested the decoy touch his genitals to prove she was not a police officer.
Those booked on suspicion of patronizing a prostitute are Rasheem Akeen Barrett, 32; Jay Lynn Farnsworth, 45; David Byron Johnson, 44; John William Poglajen, 57; Mytiawo O’Broderic Sanders, 23; and Gary Lee Shockley, 70.
Those booked on suspicion of offering/agreeing to commit sexual act for fee or equivalent are Reyes Ordonez, 42; and Michelle Torrez, 53.
