St. George police alert residents after at-large suspect enters 2 residences, sexually assaults woman

ST. GEORGE, Utah, Oct. 24, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The St. George Police Department put out an alert to citizens Tuesday, saying a man had entered two local residences without permission, and had sexually assaulted a woman at one home.

“In the last two hours, the St. George Communications Center has received two reports of similar incidents we want to make the community aware of,” said a notice posted on Facebook at about 2 p.m.

The residences targeted were near the 3200 South block of Little Valley, and in the area of Washington Fields, the post said. The man entered the homes at 12:12 and 12:46 p.m., respectively.

Police described the man as Hispanic, in his early 30s, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds.

He was wearing a maroon hat with “RVCA” printed on it, a gray T-shirt, and green basketball shorts.

A surveillance camera caught a picture of the man’s truck.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is asked to contact dispatch at 435-627-4300 and reference incident 17P026236.
