ST. GEORGE, Utah, Nov. 15, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — St. George Police detectives are investigating multiple reports of credit card fraud at gas stations throughout the city.

“Over the past two months, multiple suspects with different vehicles have been using stolen credit card information to purchase large amounts of fuel,” said a news release from the St. George Police Department. “The suspects will fill auxiliary tanks and cans multiple times in a single day.”

In some of the incidents, Nevada license plates were observed on surveillance footage.

Due to the similarities in the different incidents, there is a possibility that they are related, the news release said.

Police have released surveillance photos of two suspects that may be involved in the thefts. Both suspects appear to be Caucasian. One is wearing a black long-sleeve T-shirt, black pants and black sneakers. The other is wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, a blue long-sleeve T-shirt, black pants and black sneakers. Officials also released photos of vehicles thought to be involved.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or vehicles pictured is asked to call the SGPD at 435-627-4300.
