HURRICANE, Utah, June 23, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Two suspects have been identified after an armed robbery at a Hurricane Pharmacy Tuesday evening.

Kevin S. Richards, 37, and Elizabeth Richards, 32, both of LaVerkin, were arrested minutes after the robbery on multiple charges relating to the armed robbery of Hurricane Family Pharmacy. The charges were based on the criminal violations committed during the robbery. The bail was set at $50,000 due to the severity of this incident.

Hurricane City Police Department Sgt. Brandon Buell said officers were dispatched just before 6 p.m. to the pharmacy, located at 25 N. 2000 West, to a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Buell said a male suspect, dressed in a hat and a bandana, had entered the business and brandished a handgun, demanded medications. The suspect left after receiving an undisclosed amount of medications.

Witnesses were able to give officers a detailed description of the suspect and the vehicle he left in.

Additional officers responded to the area and spread out through possible routes the suspect could have potentially taken. Officers located the vehicle on 600 North and stopped the vehicle within minutes after the attempted robbery. Officers conducted a stop on the vehicle and located the suspects in the vehicle, which both were taken into custody.

Officers located evidence consistent with the robbery inside the vehicle. The suspects were taken into custody and booked into the Washington County Jail.
