Man rescued after 4 nights stranded on mountain above Strawberry Reservoir

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah, March 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 60-year-old man is in good condition after he was stranded for four nights on the mountain above Strawberry Reservoir near Heber City.

A Facebook post from Wasatch County Search and Rescue said the man went snowmobiling Friday and was reported missing when he didn’t return.

The search for the man started Monday night and he was located early Tuesday afternoon.

The man was flown to Heber Valley Hospital by the Wasatch County SAR helicopter in good condition.

Summit County Search and Rescue, the Utah Department of Public Safety and Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the search and the rescue.

Wasatch County SAR said more information will be released later Tuesday afternoon.
