FARMINGTON, Utah, Feb. 10, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A structure fire in Farmington caused $60,000 to $80,000 in damage Wednesday afternoon, but no one was injured in the blaze.

Farmington City fire chief Guido Smith said crews were dispatched to a structure fire at 1667 S. 200 East at 1:30 p.m. after passersby noticed smoke coming from the roof.

Crews arrived approximately six minutes after they were dispatched and found a fire in the attic of the structure.

Resources were utilized from South Davis Metro, Kaysville Fire and Layton Fire to safely mitigate the blaze.

It took 40 minutes to put the fire out and secure the source of the fire. It is believed the fire was electrical, but crews are still investigating.
