OGDEN, Utah, July 2, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews battled a structure fire in Ogden Tuesday morning. The blaze caused damages totaling $80,000, officials said.
The Ogden Fire Department tweeted that fire crews responded to the scene of the structure fire, at 2017 Adams Ave., after being dispatched at 5:33 a.m.
Seventeen firefighters from Ogden City and Roy Fire Departments responded to the scene with three ladder trucks, one engine, one paramedic unit, one ambulance and the Battalion Chief.
“Crews are making progress on extinguishing the fire,” a follow-up tweet said. “Four patients are being transported to local hospitals for medical evaluation.”
Power lines were down on the property, and utility companies were en route to the scene, the tweet said.
Crews reported the fire was out by 6:12 a.m., and firefighters then performed salvage and overhaul procedures.
Seven people are displaced as a result of the fire and the Red Cross is assisting those residents.
The cause of the fire has not been determined and is under investigation by the office of the Ogden City Fire Department Fire Marshal.
