Sunday night mobile home fire in Ogden causes $20K in damage

OGDEN, Utah, Dec. 25, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Fire crews responded to a report of a structure fire Sunday night at 1065 Wall Ave., where they found heavy smoke and flames coming from a mobile home.

According to the Ogden Fire Department on Twitter, crews from Ogden Fire and Northview Fire Agency were dispatched at 8:37 p.m. to the Millcreek Mobile Home Park.

All occupants of the mobile home had evacuated before firefighters arrived, and no one was injured.

Seventeen firefighters worked to knock down the blaze and perform salvage and overhaul procedures.

Damage is estimated at $20,000. The Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced resident, and the premises have been secured.

The fire is under investigation by the office of the Ogden City Fire Marshal. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
