WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Feb. 9, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are seeking a male of unknown age who robbed a Cricket store Thursday evening in West Valley City.

According to West Valley City Lt. Mike Fossmo, WVCPD was called at 7:48 p.m. to the scene, at 3411 S. Redwood Road.

At the scene, officers learned a Hispanic male had entered the business, brandished a gun, and demanded money from a clerk. He then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect was wearing a mask and a gray sweatshirt, Fossmo said.

Arriving officers set up a containment area, and K-9s were deployed, but no suspect was found.

No injuries were reported, and the store closed for the night. An employee said more than $680 had been taken.
